TAKING THE PHOTOGRAPH
This section considers my experience and practice as a photographer.
It explores some of my key influences when taking photographs including intentions, circumstances and mood. The experience of taking photographs
is more than the capture of visual information. The accompanying text and audio taken at the time of the photograph
provide further insight into the sensory experience I had.
Taking the Photograph also thinks about the material practice of photography, my choice between
different formats and the qualities of using them.
The traditional analogue film process is slow, considered and more exposed to unintentional results; in comparison
to using digital cameras. Taking photographs in a digital context is immediate with more opportunities
to continue shooting and deleting until the required image is achieved.
